Furnishing Faith

About

Amy Esparza is the founder of Furnishing Faith- a nonprofit born from the simple idea:  serve others by using the gifts you've been given.

Originally from the Midwest and now proudly rooted in Connecticut, Amy's journey has taken her through cities such as Miami, Dallas, and Chicago, each shaping her understanding of people, community and what it truly means to feel at home.  With degrees in Business Management and Interior Design, Amy built a successful design career before answering a deeper calling.  For years she volunteered at local nonprofits, witnessing firsthand how families were moving into permanent housing with nothing but empty rooms and a bed.  No table to gather around.  No sofa to rest on.  No lamps, art, or warmth to make it feel like home.

"As my passion for design grew alongside my love for serving others, it became clear there was a gap in our community I could help to fill- one that could positively impact so many lives.  Too many individuals were starting over in empty spaces without the essentials to live comfortably.  By combining design with compassion, we can turn those empty spaces into places of dignity, stability and new beginnings."

That calling became Furnishing Faith, a mission driven organization that transforms empty spaces into fully furnished homes using donated furniture and household goods from the community.  Because design is more than decor, it's love in action changing lives one home, one family, and one act of faith at a time.
